One of the highlights of this year surely is: Master Drawings from The Courtauld Gallery. Its exhibition catalogue is a true must have for all art lovers. Treating the masterpieces of the exhibition currently in the Frick Collection, the catalogue starts with early Italian and Flemish artists eventually leading to the modern masters like Degas, Van Gogh and Matisse. It covers a period of around five centuries of drawing, giving an idea of the different purposes of drawings and how their role changed through the ages. The sheets are discussed and analyzed in entries by: Denise Allen, Colin B. Bailey, Caroline Campbell, Julian Brooks, Susan Grace Galassi, Christopher White, Chris Fischer, Margret Stuffmann and David Solkin
